Apple’s Supply Chain Innovation team is looking for an experienced Python Developer to build scalable, cloud-native systems supporting mission-critical supply chain operations. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams across the globe to deliver software solutions that enhance efficiency across planning, distribution, and analytics. Ideal candidates will bring strong technical expertise, leadership qualities, and a passion for innovation.

• Design and develop distributed, scalable systems using microservices architecture
• Drive proof-of-concepts and pilot solutions for supply chain innovation
• Ensure system reliability, performance, and security through continuous improvements
• Participate in code and design reviews; debug and resolve technical issues
• Collaborate across product, QA, support, and engineering teams globally
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a high-performance development culture
• Occasionally support production applications and manage warranty support

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in enterprise-level development using Python
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming
• Experience with Python data platforms like pandas, numpy, and DataFrames
• Proficient in building APIs and application servers using Django or Flask
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Proven ability to architect multi-technology solutions and solve complex problems

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
• Experience with databases: RDBMS, Key-Value, Document-based
• Hands-on with frontend frameworks like Angular or React
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
• Exposure to real-time data processing using Apache Kafka or similar tools
• Understanding of AI/ML, LLMs, prompt engineering, and RAG
• Domain knowledge in Supply Chain applications
