Associate Infrastructure Engineer | Lightcast | 4-5 LPA

Lightcast is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Associate Infrastructure Engineer to support its growing engineering team. This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals beginning their careers in IT infrastructure. The selected candidate will gain hands-on experience and receive mentorship while assisting in maintaining and optimizing IT systems across the organization.

Learning and Development

• Participate in training sessions and mentorship programs to gain foundational knowledge in IT infrastructure.
• Shadow senior engineers to understand tools, workflows, and day-to-day operations.

System Support and Maintenance

• Assist with monitoring system performance and escalating issues where necessary.
• Support tasks related to patch management and system updates.
• Help maintain system backups and recovery processes.
• Support automation initiatives in security and infrastructure testing.
• Assist in creating Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) templates for production environments.

Documentation and Reporting

• Help maintain technical documentation, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Prepare basic system performance reports and dashboards to track internal metrics.

Security and Compliance Support

• Learn about and assist in implementing security compliance practices.
• Support audits and compliance checks alongside senior engineers.

Collaboration and Support

• Work with team members to complete infrastructure tasks and project milestones.
• Offer basic end-user support and escalate more complex issues to the appropriate teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure components: servers, storage, networking.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, or JavaScript.
• Understanding of SQL and the ability to write, optimize, and troubleshoot queries.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
• Team-oriented mindset with a proactive attitude.
