Axelerant is hiring Associate Software Engineer – Site Reliability (Remote, India)

Axelerant is looking for an entry-level Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join its fully remote team. This is an ideal role for early-career engineers who want to build deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevOps practices. You'll work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to learn how to build, scale, and maintain reliable infrastructure using industry-standard tools and practices.

• Assist in building and maintaining cloud infrastructure using modern DevOps tools.
• Learn and apply Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) under mentorship.
• Set up and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.).
• Write automation scripts using Python, Bash, or Go.
• Support cloud-based deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Contribute to incident response documentation and operational playbooks.
• Participate in on-call rotations as part of learning progression.
• Engage in retrospectives, knowledge-sharing sessions, and continuous improvement.

• Understanding of Linux-based systems.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Go.
• Knowledge of networking basics and distributed systems.
• Exposure to version control (Git) and CI/CD principles.
• Eagerness to work with containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Strong problem-solving skills and clear communication.
• Collaborative attitude and openness to feedback.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Datadog, Grafana).
• Basic experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Awareness of GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux).
• Experience with CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
