Job Description
Solera is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with a holistic systems mindset to support the design, deployment, automation, and operations of enterprise-scale applications. This role works in close collaboration with Development, QA, and Operations teams, contributing to the reliability, scalability, and security of Solera’s platforms.
The position plays a critical role in evolving CI/CD pipelines, modernizing deployment practices, and supporting both on-premises and cloud-based environments, including AWS.
Requirements
- Lead the transformation of legacy and manual deployment processes into fully automated DevOps workflows
- Own and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines across Development, QA, and Production environments
- Build, enhance, and operate CI/CD pipelines supporting both on-prem infrastructure and AWS cloud deployments
Cloud, Infrastructure, and Platform Operations
- Design and implement high-availability, resilient deployment architectures
- Manage infrastructure across Windows Server, AWS, and containerized platforms
- Optimize operational costs through resource planning, monitoring, and capacity management
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Enablement
- Partner with engineering, QA, and operations teams to improve delivery speed and reliability
- Support teams across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) by maintaining environments and tooling
- Balance long-term platform improvements with short-term operational priorities
Security, Reliability, and Incident Management
- Enforce security best practices by tracking and remediating vulnerabilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues
- Participate in 24x7x365 on-call rotations to support global operations
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation, runbooks, and training materials
- Ensure operational readiness and knowledge continuity across teams

Required Qualifications for the DevOps Engineer Role
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Science, or equivalent
- 5–8 years of overall professional experience
- 2+ years of hands-on experience driving CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployments
- Strong proficiency with AWS services and cloud operations
- 2+ years supporting 24x7x365 SaaS or PaaS environments
- Experience with virtualization and Docker containers
- Strong scripting skills using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages
