Job Description

Kintsugi AI is seeking a highly motivated Engineering Intern to join the Automations Team, which is responsible for converting complex, manual compliance workflows into scalable, AI-powered automation systems.

Requirements

This role sits at the intersection of engineering, operations, and customer enablement. You will help build and maintain automation pipelines while also supporting Customer Success and Onboarding teams by diagnosing and resolving workflow issues in production.

This internship provides hands-on exposure to automation platforms, AI agents, backend systems, and real-world SaaS operations.


Key Responsibilities of Engineering Intern – Automations

  • Build and maintain automation workflows using tools such as n8n, Sola, and internal APIs
  • Monitor automation pipelines to ensure reliability, performance, and uptime
  • Troubleshoot and resolve automation failures and workflow issues
  • Provide technical support to Customer Success and Onboarding teams
  • Assist with configuration, debugging, and issue triage for production workflows
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to document and optimize business processes
  • Test new automation workflows before production release
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and automation architecture improvements

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Familiarity with at least one programming language such as Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript
  • Strong interest in automation, backend engineering, and systems integration
  • Solid problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-engineering teams
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Willingness to learn in a fast-paced, cross-functional startup environment

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.)
  • Exposure to workflow orchestration or automation tools such as n8n, Airflow, or Temporal
  • Prior experience providing technical support to internal or customer-facing teams
  • Interest in AI agents, automation platforms, or SaaS infrastructure
