Graduate Engineer Trainee

The Graduate Engineer Trainee will be responsible for manual testing, identifying functional test cases, and executing test scenarios. The role involves working closely with product owners, business analysts, developers, and QA teams to ensure product quality.

• Execute manual functional tests and document results
• Detect and document defects, track inconsistencies, and report issues
• Follow instructions from team leads and complete assigned tasks
• Learn and use testing tools such as Selenium, QTP, JMeter
• Create, review, and approve test plans, test cases, and test reports
• Work with SQL databases and execute queries
• Deploy releases using TFS and Jenkins in test environments
• Perform regression testing and maintain testing documentation
• Support weekend or extra efforts when required for testing deliverables

Qualifications & Skills Required

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of software testing, test automation, and quality assurance standards
  • Familiarity with programming languages like Python, Java, C, C++
  • Understanding of SQL databases and ability to write queries
  • Experience with test automation tools like Selenium, JMeter, or QTP (preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of Unix, TFS, SVN, HP ALM
  • Ability to read and analyze code for potential issues
• Soft Skills:
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies

• Base Location: Chennai (Candidates should be open to travel if required)
• Candidates with industry-recognized QA/testing certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) will have an added advantage
