HSBC is seeking a DevOps-focused Senior Software Engineer to support its Risk Data Platform and related systems, both on-premises and in the cloud. This role involves technical leadership in DevSecOps practices, automation, CI/CD, and data engineering frameworks like Spark and Delta Lake.

Responsibilities Lead development and automation for the Risk Data Platform

Implement and enforce DevSecOps standards and best practices

Review code, manage pull requests, and ensure code quality

Design and implement scalable technical solutions for enterprise data and reporting needs

Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and architectural standards

Promote automation and continuous improvement within the development lifecycle

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to platform strategy

Requirements Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef

Proficient in UNIX, Git, and debugging techniques

Expertise in Python and PySpark

Hands-on experience with Spark UI, batch frameworks, and Delta Lake integration

Understanding of version control and automated deployment strategies
