Job Description

NICE is seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to support and enhance its global SaaS platform for Actimize solutions. In this role, you’ll work with cutting-edge AWS technologies, containerized environments, and application operations to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance. You will be part of a fast-paced, autonomous, and highly collaborative engineering culture, delivering real-time solutions that impact millions of users and billions of dollars.

Requirements


Responsibilities

  • Deploy, monitor, automate, and support real-time critical SaaS platforms on AWS.
  • Implement, configure, and upgrade application releases.
  • Set up new environments and deploy solutions.
  • Build proactive monitoring and alerting services.
  • Automate processes using Ansible, Python, Perl, or other scripting languages.
  • Configure and secure application instances.
  • Create and maintain deployment scripts and rollback procedures.
  • Optimize application and web server performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve AWS infrastructure and application issues.
  • Collaborate with Technical & Operations teams for custom deployments.
  • Handle high-severity incidents spanning multiple AWS services.
  • Build internal tools for safer and faster operations.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide 24x7 support.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in application support and cloud operations.
  • Strong background with 2-tier/3-tier application architectures.
  • Proficiency with AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, ELB, VPC, VPN).
  • Experience with Docker/containerized applications and Kubernetes.
  • OS administration skills (Linux or Windows).
  • Database experience with SQL, Oracle, Postgres, or Cassandra.
  • Middleware knowledge (Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere).
  • Understanding of networking and load balancers.
  • Proficiency in scripting (Ansible, Perl, Python, Shell, Ruby, PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Nagios, OpsGenie, Rundeck).
  • Experience in cloud/application security.
  • Exposure to Agile/Sprint methodologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in banking and financial domains.
  • Hands-on experience handling complex application performance issues.
  • Background in PCI-compliant or regulated environments.
