This role focuses on building automated test frameworks, ensuring product quality, and working across frontend and backend testing environments. Requirements
The Automation Test Engineer Intern will collaborate closely with development teams to design, build, and execute automated test suites for web-based applications. You will work with tools like Selenium, Postman, Protractor, and JMeter while contributing to CI/CD pipelines integrated with platforms such as Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop automated test cases for web-based applications using Selenium, Protractor, Postman, and JMeter
- Write test scripts using JavaScript, Java, and Python
- Collaborate with developers and QA teams to ensure timely, high-quality releases
- Log and track issues using JIRA
- Prepare detailed test documentation and defect reports
- Participate in code reviews and share feedback on automation quality
- Troubleshoot failures in automation test runs
- Continuously explore new testing tools and automation practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred)
- Hands-on experience in automation testing (academic or professional)
- Understanding of frontend and backend testing strategies
- Basic familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional environments
- Experience with Agile development processes
Good to Have
- Knowledge of JavaScript, AngularJS, Java
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and JSON
- Exposure to automation frameworks and scripting
- Interest in performance testing tools like JMeter
