Webscale is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to design and deploy advanced GenAI and machine learning solutions for eCommerce platforms. This remote position involves collaborating closely with customers, developing intelligent agents, and building scalable AI systems using state-of-the-art tools. Ideal candidates are data-savvy, engineering-focused, and passionate about transforming the eCommerce experience through cutting-edge AI.

• Partner with customers to deliver GenAI/ML solutions from use case definition to production deployment.
• Build stateful AI agents using tools like LangGraph, MCP, including tool calling, memory, and routing capabilities.
• Architect and implement AI systems that interact with APIs, web apps, and documents to automate eCommerce workflows.
• Develop core AI components such as inference, similarity search, guardrails, evaluation, and observability.
• Work with tools and frameworks like PyTorch, Hugging Face, VectorDBs, and AWS Ultraclusters.
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines (ETL, real-time processing) and cloud-native infrastructure (microservices, containers).
• Contribute to full-stack AI applications including intuitive front-end interfaces.
• Stay current with AI/agent research and apply new techniques to optimize system performance and efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience with GenAI and ML architecture, implementation, and deployment.
• Practical knowledge of building autonomous AI agents and orchestration systems.
• Strong background in data engineering and scalable infrastructure.
• Proficiency with open-source and cloud-based AI tools.
• Familiarity with full-stack product development and user experience design is a strong plus.
• Up-to-date knowledge of agent research, scaling strategies, and cost optimization.
