Job Description
Career Certified is seeking a motivated and curious DevOps Security Intern to join the DevOps division for Summer 2026. This remote internship offers hands on experience in DevSecOps, infrastructure security, and cloud security operations while contributing to meaningful projects that impact both internal teams and external customers.
Reporting to the Lead Site Reliability Engineer, this internship is designed for students passionate about DevSecOps, AI, and Cyber Security. Interns will apply classroom learning to real world infrastructure challenges, gain exposure to industry tools, and build valuable professional experience in a fully remote environment
Requirements
- Assist with research and analysis of infrastructure security posture
- Support security audits and report generation
- Assist with remediation activities based on audit findings
- Collaborate with DevOps team members and internal stakeholders
- Complete assigned deliverables within defined timelines
Tools And Platforms
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Amazon Web Services AWS
- Prowler and other security audit tools as assigned
Requirements
Educational Qualifications
- Currently enrolled full time in a bachelor’s degree program in Management of Information Systems or related field
- Must have completed at least three semesters of college coursework
- No prior professional experience required
- Candidates within one year post graduation may also be considered
Technical And Professional Skills
- Strong interest in AI and Cyber Security
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a remote team
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud computing platforms
- Basic understanding of cyber security principles
- Strong attention to detail and analytical problem solving abilities
