Probity – Junior DevOps Engineer with Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance and Polygraph

Probity is seeking a qualified Junior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and deploy highly scalable cloud-based microservices. The selected candidate will join an integrated engineering team to improve the Sponsor’s DevOps posture by automating processes, reducing manual effort, and ensuring reliable, secure, and performant deployments.

This role requires a professional with deep technical knowledge in cloud platforms, AWS services, DevOps best practices, and modern CI/CD pipelines. The work environment is fast-paced and mission-focused, directly contributing to national security and defense technology solutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering (or equivalent 5 years specialized technical experience).
• 3+ years of experience developing cloud-native microservices on AWS (Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, S3, RDS, EC2, SNS, EKS, Secrets Manager, KMS, SQS, Kinesis).
• 5+ years of experience using RESTful APIs or software development in cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git).
• Proficiency in Java and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Servlets, Spring, Hibernate).
• Experience with NoSQL and relational databases (MongoDB, Postgres, Oracle, MS SQL Server).
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Podman) and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Alert Manager.
• Strong background in Linux/Windows operating systems and web server technologies (Tomcat, WebLogic, IIS).
• Demonstrated skills in Agile development environments (Jira or similar).
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Desired Qualifications

• Backend or full stack development experience.
• Hands-on expertise with Helm, GitOps (Argo), SonarQube, Keycloak, Elasticsearch.
• Deep technical understanding of cloud architecture and DevSecOps practices.
• Proficiency with Spring Framework, Maven/Gradle.
• Ability to create and manage Kubernetes production clusters.
