AlphaGrep India Hiring DevOps Engineer in Bangalore - Linux, Python, Trading Infrastructure

AlphaGrep is a quantitative trading and investment firm founded in 2010, one of the largest firms by trading volume on Indian exchanges with significant market share on several global exchanges. They use a disciplined and systematic quantitative approach to identify factors that consistently generate alpha, coupled with proprietary ultra-low latency trading systems and robust risk management.

AlphaGrep is seeking a bright and resourceful DevOps Engineer for one of their Trading Teams based in Bangalore. The individual will be responsible for the day-to-day operational support and stability of their infrastructure. The role focuses on L1 level monitoring and support for production trading applications and infrastructure.

Requirements*

Required Experience

• 1-3 years of strong hands-on experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar

• Hands-on experience in providing 1st level monitoring and engineering support
• Familiarity with Linux
• Familiarity with basic networking tools like ping, traceroute, etc.
• Basic understanding of scripting languages like Bash or Python
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Systematic problem-solving approach with a strong sense of ownership and drive
• Prior knowledge or experience of financial trading will be a plus
