AlphaGrep is seeking a bright and resourceful DevOps Engineer to join one of its Trading Teams in Bangalore. This role focuses on L1 monitoring, operational support, and ensuring the stability and reliability of production trading applications and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L1 monitoring and operational support for production trading systems
• Deliver first-level engineering support for infrastructure and application issues
• Monitor system performance and availability
• Work with Linux systems and basic networking tools such as ping and traceroute
• Assist with troubleshooting and incident resolution
• Write and maintain basic Bash scripts for operational tasks
• Participate in rotational operational shifts with the team

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 0–2 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, system support, or infrastructure roles
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Strong understanding of Linux fundamentals
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts and tools
• Familiarity with Bash scripting
• Working experience with Python is preferred
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership

Nice to Have

• Prior knowledge or experience in financial trading environments
• Experience supporting production-critical systems
