As a DevOps Engineer at AMD, you will be a key contributor to a leading team driving and enhancing AMD's abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain DevOps pipelines for integration of software components in diverse environments
- Design CI/CD flows, develop maintainable and extensible code/pipelines
- Design and implement automation solutions that scale
- Build and package software for Linux/Windows ecosystems
- Design and implement infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and self-heal mechanisms
- Work in Agile, test-driven development model
- Work with development teams to implement strong branching and code promotion strategies
- Perform code reviews and deployments
- Troubleshoot and profile existing/new implementations for improvements
- Create technical documentation and user guides for implemented solutions
- Communicate effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
- Expertise with coding/scripting in Python or Powershell
- Expertise in GitHub Actions and Workflows
- Proven experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP in production environments
- Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
- Solid understanding of security, compliance, and privacy in cloud environments
- Hands-on experience with Grafana, Prometheus, and alerting/monitoring systems
- Familiar with software build processes (GNU Make, CMake, Visual Studio, MS Build)
- Proficient with container frameworks: Docker, Docker-compose
- Strong expertise in Linux packaging ecosystems (apt, yum, deb) for Ubuntu, SUSE, RHEL
- Strong expertise in managing GitHub or Gitlab ecosystems
- Ability to contribute to code reviews
- Ability to work in cross-functional, collaborative environment
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Preferred Skills:
- Expertise in Windows packaging ecosystems
- Exposure to Kubernetes, HashiCorp, Terraform
- Active participation in open source projects
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
