AMD is looking for a dynamic and passionate DevOps Engineer to join its growing engineering team. In this role, you will be a key contributor in building and enhancing DevOps capabilities that enable AMD to deliver industry-leading, high-quality technologies across diverse platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain DevOps pipelines for integration of software components across environments
• Design robust CI/CD workflows and build scalable automation solutions
• Build and package software for Linux and Windows ecosystems
• Design and implement infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and self-healing mechanisms
• Work in Agile and test-driven development environments
• Collaborate with development teams on branching strategies and code promotion
• Perform code reviews, deployments, and troubleshooting
• Profile existing and new implementations to improve performance and reliability
• Create technical documentation and user guides
• Collaborate effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders

Preferred Experience & Skills

Core Skills

• Strong coding/scripting skills in Python and/or PowerShell
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and workflows
• Production experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
• Solid understanding of cloud security, compliance, and privacy
• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, and monitoring/alerting systems
• Familiarity with software build systems such as GNU Make, CMake, Visual Studio, MSBuild
• Experience with Docker and Docker-Compose
• Strong expertise in Linux packaging ecosystems (apt, yum, deb) across Ubuntu, SUSE, RHEL
• Proficiency with GitHub or GitLab repositories and workflows

Good to Have

• Experience with Windows packaging ecosystems
• Exposure to Kubernetes, Terraform, and HashiCorp tools
• Active participation in open-source projects

Academic Credentials

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
