As a Salesforce DevOps Release Engineer, you will work closely with Salesforce Admins, Engineers, and Architects to streamline and optimize Salesforce solution delivery using Copado-based CI/CD pipelines. This role blends release engineering, automation, and DevOps best practices to accelerate and improve Amgen’s Salesforce development lifecycle.

• Manage and supervise Salesforce release pipelines using Copado
• Plan and schedule releases with Product Owners and Development Teams
• Automate build, test, and deployment processes for Salesforce CI/CD
• Troubleshoot pipeline actions such as commit, promote, and deploy
• Enhance Copado pipelines with automation and self-service capabilities
• Support post-release issue resolution and continuous improvement
• Partner with cross-functional teams to enable agile and DevOps practices
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to standard methodologies
• Design and implement scalable Salesforce applications and enhancements
• Maintain documentation for architecture, deployment, operations, and DR
• Research Salesforce capabilities and provide gap analysis
• Explore and develop innovative solutions using generative AI technologies

Basic Qualifications

• Master’s degree with 1–3 years of relevant experience, or
• Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience, or
• Diploma with 7–9 years of relevant experience in Computer Science, IT, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Salesforce Engineer or Release Manager
• Strong expertise in Salesforce Metadata API and SFDX
• In-depth knowledge of Salesforce declarative and programmatic development
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce security (OWD, profiles, permissions)
• Experience using version control systems such as Git

Good-to-Have Skills

• Programming experience in Apex, JavaScript, Python, Bash/Shell
• Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and DevOps methodologies
• Experience integrating external tools (testing, code scanning) with CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience with Copado, ANT, or SFDX-based pipelines

• Salesforce Platform Builder
• Salesforce Developer I
• Salesforce Development Lifecycle Designer
• Copado Fundamentals I / II (Source Format Pipeline)
