Apexx Is Hiring DevOps Engineer Job in Bengaluru or Pune | AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, FinTech Platform Engineering

APEXX is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join its Platform Engineering team, responsible for building and scaling modern, cloud-native infrastructure for high-impact FinTech products.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring that APEXX’s core platforms are resilient, secure, scalable, and highly observable, while enabling product engineering teams to deliver features reliably and at speed. The platform supports customer-facing services and mission-critical third-party integrations, including payment processors, BNPL providers, fraud detection services, and financial data platforms.

• Design, build, and maintain resilient AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Own and continuously improve the Kubernetes (EKS) ecosystem and container deployment workflows
• Automate infrastructure and operational workflows, including failover and recovery processes, with a strong focus on zero-downtime systems

Reliability, Security, and Operations

• Promote a “You build it, you run it” culture with shared ownership of uptime, SLAs, and incident response

• Maintain a strong security posture across:

  • Secrets management
  • IAM and access controls
  • Network boundaries and data protection

• Participate in on-call rotations and production incident response with blameless post-incident reviews

• Contribute to long-term infrastructure architecture, operational excellence, and roadmap planning

CI/CD, Deployment, and Delivery

• Own and enhance CI/CD pipelines to support fast, reliable, and repeatable deployments
• Partner with product engineering teams to unblock deployments, resolve issues, and accelerate product launches
• Support deployment strategies that minimise risk and maximise availability

Required Experience and Technical Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering roles

• Strong hands-on expertise with:

  • Terraform
  • Kubernetes (EKS)
  • Containerisation and cluster operations

• Deep experience with AWS services, including:

  • EC2, S3, Lambda
  • CloudWatch, API Gateway, WAF
  • Networking and security services

• Experience with multi-region deployments, including latency, failover, data consistency, and cost considerations

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams

• Strong passion for building resilient systems, reducing operational toil, and promoting DevOps best practices

Additional Skills That Are an Advantage

• Experience in FinTech, Payments, Banking, or regulated environments (PCI-DSS, SOC 2, cloud compliance frameworks)
• Familiarity with Active Directory, OU structures, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
• Experience with observability and monitoring stacks such as Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK
• Experience managing RDS or Aurora PostgreSQL
• Exposure to AWS DMS, Snowflake, and QuickSight
• Experience automating deployments and operational workflows to support zero-downtime releases, including database upgrades and traffic shifting
