Appwrite is Hiring: Support Engineer (Remote)

As a Support Engineer, you will be the bridge between Appwrite and its developer community—solving technical issues, improving documentation, supporting users, and ensuring a delightful user experience. You’ll work closely with the Developer Relations and Engineering teams, gaining exposure to real-world backend systems and developer tooling.

• Resolve developer issues related to Appwrite services, APIs, and SDKs
• Monitor and respond to user queries across channels (GitHub, Discord, Reddit, Twitter)
• Maintain FAQs, documentation, and a user knowledge base
• Manage and route support tickets efficiently
• Collaborate with engineering teams on bug reports and feature suggestions
• Create weekly support reports tracking KPIs and improvement areas
• Proactively identify pain points, gather feedback, and suggest improvements
• Contribute to Appwrite’s performance and usability enhancements
• Communicate effectively and empathetically with developers worldwide
• Occasionally go the extra mile to ensure developer success

Requirements

• 2+ years in technical support or troubleshooting
• Strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity
• Good understanding of programming and modern tech stacks
• Familiar with Appwrite (huge bonus!)
• Hands-on with JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, Svelte)
• Experience with mobile dev platforms (Flutter, iOS, Android)
• Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, DigitalOcean)
• Ability to create reports, document insights, and share learnings
