Job Description
Palo Alto Networks is hiring a Staff DevOps Engineer for a full-time, office-based position in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
The role focuses on DevOps, AWS cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, MLOps, Infrastructure as Code, observability, networking, and production automation. The engineer will work closely with software development and AI/ML teams to build reliable deployment platforms, manage cloud infrastructure, and support scalable containerized workloads.
Requirements

Design, build, and maintain CI/CD and MLOps pipelines.

Automate application and AI/ML model deployments.

Manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormation.

Provision and manage AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, and EKS.

Manage and optimize Amazon EKS clusters, including upgrades and node-group tuning.

Containerize applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

Implement observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog.

Configure NGINX for ingress routing, reverse proxying, load balancing, and SSL/TLS termination.

Build custom dashboards and define SLOs/SLAs.

Configure proactive monitoring and alerting using PagerDuty and Datadog.

Support AI/ML teams with self-service platform tooling.

Optimize GPU/TPU compute resources for AI workloads.

Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, networking, and production issues.

Collaborate with engineering and AI/ML teams on reliable production systems.

3–6 years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or a related field.

BSc, B.Tech, BE, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Extensive hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Infrastructure.

Strong experience with Kubernetes and Docker.

Experience managing containerized workloads at scale.

Strong CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools.

Strong understanding of observability and telemetry.

Experience with Datadog, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, or related monitoring platforms.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with unit, integration, system, and API testing.
- Strong networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, and network protocols.
- Understanding of security principles, risk management, threat modeling, and secure configuration.
- Database and data-engineering experience.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- AWS Cloud Solution Architect certification or equivalent.
- Familiarity with open-source technologies and communities.
- Strong interest in continuous technical learning.
