Arup Hiring Junior Platform Engineer in Hyderabad

Job Description
Arup's purpose, shared values, and collaborative approach have set the company apart for over 75 years, guiding how it shapes a better world. The Digital Technology Group builds and runs the cloud platforms and shared services behind Arup's data, analytics, and digital products, and the company is looking for a Platform Engineer to help take them further. Arup belongs to an extraordinary collective in which individuality is encouraged to thrive, with strength coming from how it respects, shares, and connects diverse experiences, perspectives, and ideas.
At Arup, you will have the opportunity to do socially useful work that has meaning, to your career, to the company's members, and to the clients and communities served. Arup is proud to have its Digital Technology team recognized as prior winners of the IT Team of the Year at the Chartered Institute of IT's UK IT Industry Awards.
As a Junior Platform Engineer, you will help build and run secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and shared platform services used by teams across Arup. You will automate everything you can through Infrastructure as Code in Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and self-service tooling. You will improve reliability and security through monitoring, incident response, and sensible governance practices. You will work alongside platform engineers, data engineers, and architects, with real scope to shape how the engineering teams approach platform design and delivery.
You will set up, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP, using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform to provision and manage resources. You will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps, ensuring fast and reliable deployments. You will write and maintain scripts in Python and Shell to automate repetitive tasks and reduce manual effort. You will configure VPC networking and security to align with best practices, and optimize cloud infrastructure to enhance performance and scalability.
You will work with containers and serverless architectures, monitoring and alerting systems, and keep security front of mind in all your work. You will enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams, keep learning new technologies, and be able to explain technical ideas clearly to non-technical colleagues. As a Junior Platform Engineer, you will have access to a global community of experts, structured learning opportunities, and the freedom to shape how Arup engineers its platforms for the future.
