Associate Engineer – Technical Publications Hiring in Bangalore
Job Description
Collins Aerospace is hiring an Associate Engineer for Technical Publications in Bangalore. This role involves developing and updating Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), Service Bulletins (SBs), and other technical documents for aerospace actuation systems, including Power Door Opening Systems (PDOS), Thrust Reverser Actuation Systems (TRAS), Highlift Flap/Slat Actuation Systems, and various electronic controllers. The position requires strong technical writing skills, knowledge of ATA/S1000D standards, and collaboration with design and manufacturing teams to ensure documentation accuracy.
Requirements
- Develop, review, and revise technical publications such as CMMs, SBs, AMMs, SIL, and T-Files
- Work closely with product design and manufacturing teams to ensure comprehensive repair and maintenance documentation
- Adhere to ATA, S1000D, and ASD-STE 100 standards for aviation manuals
- Ensure high-quality, precise documentation while meeting project timelines
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- 1 to 4 years of experience in Technical Publications
- Proficiency in Framemaker, Arbortext Editor, and S1000D applications
- Familiarity with ATA100, iSpec2200, and ASD-STE 100
- Knowledge of illustration tools like Isodraw, 3DVIA, and CATIA is an advantage
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles
- Excellent communication, editorial skills, and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems
- Expertise in writing repair, assembly, and disassembly procedures for aerospace actuation components
- Knowledge of aerospace product compliance, certification, and qualification
