Requirements

As an Associate Software Engineer – DevOps at ResMed, you will be part of the engineering team driving cloud-native architecture, automation, observability, and developer experience. The role demands strong technical foundations, problem-solving skills, and a passion for innovation in healthcare technology.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain cloud-native applications with focus on automation, scalability, and observability.
  • Support the full lifecycle of product development, from design to customer delivery.
  • Implement developer-first tools and automation to improve engineering workflows.
  • Participate in incident management and 24/7 on-call rotation, including weekends and holidays.
  • Drive improvements in developer tools, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native operations.
  • Contribute to ResMed’s inner sourcing/open source strategy to strengthen the developer community.
  • Collaborate across teams to design, implement, and document scalable solutions.
  • Foster a mindset of reliability, monitoring, and performance optimization.

Qualifications and Skills

Required:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of software development experience.
  • 1+ years working with public cloud (AWS) and cloud computing concepts.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, Python, JavaScript, Go, TypeScript, React.
  • Understanding of test practices, version control (GitHub, Bitbucket), and automated quality gates.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Passion for continuous learning and problem-solving.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or serverless architectures.
  • Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters in cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of SRE principles and production support best practices.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Datadog, Splunk, ELK.
  • Troubleshooting expertise with prior on-call/incident management exposure.
