AutoZone is hiring Senior Systems Engineer (DevOps) – India

AutoZone is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer (DevOps) to support the AutoZone.com ecosystem and related services. This role focuses on DevOps engineering, CI/CD automation, production support, and site reliability. You will drive automation initiatives, troubleshoot production issues, and mentor junior engineers while working in a fast-paced eCommerce environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide DevOps support for AutoZone.com and associated services.
• Investigate and triage production issues across environments.
• Manage branching strategies and version control using GitLab.
• Configure and maintain Jenkins for CI/CD, build automation, and security.
• Develop and maintain build/deployment automation using Python, Shell, PowerShell, and UNIX scripting.
• Implement Continuous Delivery pipelines with Ansible playbooks.
• Support and troubleshoot applications running on WebLogic, Apache, and Oracle ATG.
• Perform site reliability engineering tasks ensuring high availability and performance across data centers.
• Drive monitoring improvements using Dynatrace, Grafana, and related tools.
• Lead performance tuning and server hardening to ensure security compliance.
• Mentor and delegate tasks to Systems Engineers and Associate Systems Engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
• 12+ years’ experience in DevOps/System Engineering.
• Strong expertise with UNIX/Linux, Java, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, VMware, Tomcat, and WebLogic.
• Proficiency in scripting: Shell, Python, Ruby, Groovy, JSON, YAML.
• Experience in eCommerce B2C environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change management).
• Hands-on with database technologies: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis.
• Experience with Agile development practices.
• Skilled in monitoring and troubleshooting with Dynatrace, SiteScope, and Grafana.
• Strong collaboration skills using tools like JIRA and MS Teams.
