AXA XL Hiring DevOps Engineer in Bangalore - DevOps, Cloud, CI/CD

AXA XL is a global insurance and reinsurance company. We are hiring a DevOps Engineer to join our team in Bangalore. In this role, you will drive and support the design, implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of DevOps practices, automation, and infrastructure. This role provides technical expertise to improve deployment processes, system reliability, and operational efficiency while collaborating closely with development and operations teams. You will also be expected to contribute to the definition and rollout of strategic DevOps initiatives and mentor Associate and Senior Associate DevOps Engineers.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will bridge development and operations to ensure efficient, reliable, and scalable software delivery:

• Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate code integration, testing, and deployment processes
• Infrastructure Management: Using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to provision, configure, and manage infrastructure resources
• Automation: Automating repetitive tasks such as deployment, configuration, monitoring, and scaling to improve efficiency and reduce human error
• Monitoring and Logging: Implementing monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) to track system performance, detect issues, and ensure high availability
• Collaboration and Communication: Facilitating collaboration between development, operations, and other stakeholders to streamline workflows and improve product quality
• Security and Compliance: Ensuring that systems are secure by implementing best practices, managing access controls, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations
• Performance Optimization: Tuning systems and applications for optimal performance and scalability
• Incident Response and Troubleshooting: Quickly diagnosing and resolving production issues to minimize downtime
• Version Control Management: Managing source code repositories and branching strategies using tools like Git

You will report to Delivery Lead-DevOps Automation.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Good understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Robust knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell
• Relevant years of commercial experience with CI/CD tools such as Harness, GitHub, and JFrog Artifactory
• Effective understanding of networking, security principles, and infrastructure management
• Robust problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work resiliently and be an effective team player
• Ability to mentor Associate and Senior Associate DevOps Engineers
