Role Overview – DevOps Internship at Branch
As Branch International continues to expand in India, the need for secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure is more critical than ever.
The DevOps Intern will collaborate with senior engineers to automate cloud infrastructure, optimize CI/CD pipelines, and enhance system observability. This internship offers hands-on experience with modern DevOps tools, AWS cloud platforms, and container orchestration, with the potential for a full-time offer upon successful completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for applications and data services.
- Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and scaling.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Support cloud operations on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda) and equivalent services on GCP or Azure.
- Implement and improve monitoring and alerting systems using tools like DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK Stack.
- Troubleshoot deployment, networking, and performance issues in staging and production environments.
- Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and analysts to streamline release cycles and enhance deployment quality.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals – including Operating Systems, Networking, and Scripting.
- Hands-on experience with Linux system administration.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
- Nice-to-have: understanding of monitoring/alerting tools (DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Strong communication, collaborative mindset, and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
