About the Role
CGI is looking for an experienced Software Engineer - DevOps Engineer to join its Cloud and DevOps engineering team. In this role, you will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, manage cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, support containerized applications, and improve deployment automation across enterprise environments.
You will collaborate with development, QA, release management, and operations teams to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable application delivery workflows.
Key Responsibilities
CI/CD & Release Engineering
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment automation
- Improve software delivery processes and deployment workflows
- Support release management and automated deployment activities
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline software releases
Cloud & Infrastructure Management
- Provision, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure
- Support cloud-native deployment environments and infrastructure scalability
- Ensure operational reliability, security, and performance optimization
Containerization & OpenShift
- Manage Docker containerized applications and OpenShift (OCP) environments
- Support orchestration, deployment, and troubleshooting activities
- Maintain stable and scalable container platforms
Monitoring & Observability
- Monitor application and infrastructure health using Dynatrace, Prometheus, and Grafana
- Identify performance bottlenecks and troubleshoot production issues
- Improve observability and operational monitoring practices
Automation & Collaboration
- Support automation and scripting initiatives for operational efficiency
- Work as an independent contributor while collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Maintain technical documentation and deployment processes
- Ensure compliance, security, and DevOps best practices across environments

Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Automation roles
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform and Azure DevOps
- Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Jenkins and GitHub Actions
- Strong knowledge of Docker containerization and OpenShift (OCP)
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools including Dynatrace, Prometheus, and Grafana
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure management and deployment automation
- Knowledge of release management and software deployment workflows
- Experience with automation and scripting practices
- Understanding of security hardening, compliance, and DevOps best practices
- Knowledge of cost optimization and FinOps concepts is a plus
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage stakeholder communication effectively
- Experience working in enterprise-scale production environments is preferred
