Job Description
Coforge is seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Cloud Engineer to support cloud deployment operations, CI/CD implementation, and containerized application management. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Docker, YAML pipelines, AKS, Git, and DevOps automation. This role involves both technical execution and workflow transformation across development teams.

The Azure DevOps Engineer will play a key role in containerization, pipeline automation, secrets management, Kubernetes deployments, and Git-based workflows. A strong background in debugging Docker images and enabling smooth execution across local and cloud environments is required.
This position also involves mentoring and coaching teams through new workflow adoption, not just implementing technical changes.
Requirements
- Build, optimize, and troubleshoot Docker images to ensure reliable execution locally and within Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Diagnose container issues by replicating and debugging Docker images locally before pushing to CI/CD pipelines for faster iteration.
- Work on ADO YAML pipelines and GitHub Actions YAML pipelines.
- Configure AKS YAML deployment files, helping applications migrate to containerized workloads.
- Manage and maintain Git repositories and collaborate on source control workflows.
- Leverage CloudSmith and HashiCorp Vault for secure artifact storage and secrets management.
- Support application deployments across environments; ability to troubleshoot applications (e.g., Java) to ensure they work locally and inside AKS.
- Provide mentoring and training to teams adopting DevOps workflows and automation.
Skills & Experience Required
- Expertise in Docker & Dockerfile configuration.
- Strong understanding of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) deployments.
- Practical experience with ADO YAML pipelines and GitHub Actions.
- Good knowledge of Git and repository-based workflows.
- Experience working with CloudSmith and HashiCorp Vault for secrets management.
- Ability to diagnose and get applications running both locally and inside containers.
Preferred Skill Indicators
(Not mandatory but highly beneficial)
- Working knowledge of Java or the ability to debug Java applications during container migrations.
- Experience training or mentoring teams through CI/CD and workflow changes.
