Requirements
The Junior Cloud Ops Administrator supports the day-to-day operations of cloud infrastructure. This role focuses on monitoring systems, assisting with cloud configurations, managing access, supporting deployments, and helping resolve operational issues.
You will work closely with the Cloud Ops team and R&D, following established standards and best practices while gradually building expertise in cloud operations, automation, and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in setting up and configuring cloud environments (Azure preferred; AWS/Oracle exposure a plus)
- Monitor cloud platforms, performance metrics, alerts, and events
- Manage user access and identity (IAM concepts)
- Support troubleshooting by gathering information and escalating issues when required
- Assist with routine backups and learn recovery procedures
- Create and maintain documentation for processes, procedures, and incidents
- Provide technical support and assistance to users
- Follow security, privacy, and compliance standards
- Begin developing scripting and automation skills to improve operational efficiency
- Collaborate closely with Cloud Ops, R&D, and other stakeholders on cloud initiatives
- Continuously learn new technologies and best practices through self-study
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
- Exposure to Azure cloud services and core concepts
- Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, or similar)
- Understanding of networking fundamentals and identity concepts
- Fluency in spoken and written English
