DevOps Engineer (Intern)

Role Overview
As a DevOps Engineer Intern, you will be part of the team managing large-scale customer deployments, including Linux and Windows Administration, enterprise applications, and big data workloads. This role provides hands-on experience in cloud automation, infrastructure management, and DevOps best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Work on operations tickets and project task queues with the DevOps team.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to roll out broad changes for customers.
• Automate operational and server provisioning workflows using AWS CloudFormation Templates (CFT).
• Share responsibilities for deploying releases and conducting maintenance tasks.
• Enhance infrastructure components such as Jenkins clusters, Bitbucket, monitoring tools (Consul), and metrics tools (Graphite, Grafana).
• Provide operational support for the engineering team.
• Assist in migrating dedicated hardware infrastructure to the cloud.

• Conceptual understanding of version control systems (Git), including branching and merging strategies.
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Exposure to Snowflake data cloud.
• Understanding of software build tools like Maven and Gradle, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
• Experience supporting Java-based applications in a production environment.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Groovy.
