Jenoptik is seeking an experienced and passionate DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bangalore.

This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining build and release pipelines, managing cloud-based infrastructures, and fostering a DevOps culture across engineering teams.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure, and development frameworks such as .NET and Node.js.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Development

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Develop tools and scripts to automate build, testing, and deployment processes.
• Manage and optimize Azure-hosted and containerized environments for stable application operations.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Azure Templates, or CloudFormation.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with software development teams to define and document environment requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve build, deployment, and integration issues.
• Ensure security best practices are implemented across development and deployment pipelines.
• Continuously evaluate new tools and technologies to enhance automation and efficiency.

Monitoring and Maintenance

• Integrate monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK.
• Manage version control with Git and enforce proper branching strategies.
• Maintain and scale Kubernetes clusters and Docker containers across environments.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 5–8 years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer, Software Developer, or related role.

• Strong expertise in:

  • Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure
  • .NET and Node.js application environments
  • CI/CD pipelines and release automation

• Solid scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC).

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
