Requirements

As a DevOps Engineer at Egnyte, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining infrastructure with a strong emphasis on performance, scalability, reliability, and observability. You'll work collaboratively across teams to embed DevOps principles, automate workflows, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our cloud-based platform.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain next-generation infrastructure with best practices for performance and reliability.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of tools, processes, technologies, and frameworks.
  • Deliver Proof of Concepts (POCs) swiftly for new ideas and solutions.
  • Collaborate across teams to implement DevOps culture and practices.
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes and increase efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to release management and software configuration standards.
  • Maintain a growth mindset and a continuous learning attitude.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong understanding of DevOps methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency with Linux operating systems.
  • Hands-on scripting experience (Programming experience is a plus).
  • Experience with containers and Kubernetes (certifications are a plus).
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
  • Hands-on experience with HashiCorp tools like Terraform, Packer, Consul (preferred).
  • Cloud platform experience, especially with GCP or Azure (cost optimization experience is a plus).
  • Familiarity with middleware tools like load balancers, proxies, caches, and queues.
  • Exposure to monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, Icinga) is advantageous.
