Requirements

  • Operate and harden Kubernetes clusters (EKS, GKE, AKS), container registries, and service meshes; tune autoscaling, reliability, and costs.
  • Design and support multi-region architectures spanning U.S., LATAM, and APAC with secure, low-latency connectivity.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Establish observability practices including SLIs/SLOs, metrics/logs/traces, Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry; participate in 24×7 on-call rotations.
  • Enforce security best practices: IAM/RBAC, secrets management, baseline hardening, and image scanning.
  • Manage data layers: Postgres/MySQL, MongoDB, Redis including backup, patching, and performance tuning.
  • Improve release workflows: blue/green, canary, and progressive delivery via Argo CD/Flux.
  • Collaborate with distributed teams across U.S., LATAM, and APAC, translating requirements into operational infrastructure and secure CI/CD outcomes.
  • Engage with enterprise clients in security-sensitive, compliance-driven environments to ensure operational excellence.

Required Experience and Skills – Overseas Remote DevOps Engineer

  • 2–3 years of experience as a DevOps, Infrastructure, or Network Engineer.
  • Hands-on experience in AWS and/or GCP (compute, containers, IAM, networking, managed databases); Azure is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Terraform, Helm, Ansible, CloudFormation.
  • CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, and container build workflows (Docker).
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and networking fundamentals (DNS, TLS, routing, VPN/IPSec, load balancing).
  • Familiarity with observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills across distributed multicultural teams.
  • Ownership mindset with attention to detail and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills and Certifications

  • Experience in mission-critical or NOC environments.
  • Knowledge of public-sector security frameworks (NIST 800‑53, DISA STIGs) and zero-trust architecture.
  • SRE concepts (SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, incident management).
  • Kubernetes hardening familiarity (CIS Benchmarks, kube-bench).
  • Supply-chain data standards knowledge (GS1 EPCIS 2.0).
  • Certifications: Linux fundamentals (LPI), networking basics (CCNA), Kubernetes (CKAD), cloud fundamentals (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual salary range: $72,100 – $105,100, target starting salary $88,600.
