Job Description
DigitalOcean is looking for an Associate Cloud Support Engineer to provide world-class technical assistance to developers and businesses using its cloud infrastructure. This remote position supports customers with cloud computing needs, focusing on infrastructure troubleshooting, DevOps tooling, and modern development workflows.
Requirements
Responsibilities Provide technical support to customers using DigitalOcean’s cloud services
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to compute, storage, networking, and Kubernetes environments
Guide users in best practices across CI/CD, containerization, and cloud-native architectures
Work collaboratively with engineering teams to improve product reliability and usability
Contribute to internal documentation and knowledge base articles
Help customers adopt and scale with managed databases, GPU droplets, and AI/ML tooling
Requirements Solid foundational knowledge of cloud platforms and Linux systems
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or container orchestration
Familiarity with networking, DNS, firewalls, and VPCs
Exposure to tools like Terraform, Ansible, or scripting languages (Bash, Python)
Ability to troubleshoot common issues in compute, storage, and managed services
Strong communication skills with a customer-first mindset
Nice to Have Experience supporting production environments
Knowledge of Kafka, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other managed databases
Familiarity with monitoring tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or ELK stack
Previous experience working in a support or SRE role
