Role Overview

Job Title: Senior Site Reliability Engineer Location: Remote (Open to candidates in the USA, India, Canada, UK, Germany, Australia, Brazil, and 30+ countries) Employment Type: Full-Time Annual Compensation: $178,500 USD + Equity Department: Engineering – Site Reliability Time Commitment: 40 hours/week, flexible schedule


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain highly available and scalable cloud infrastructure
  • Lead and participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation for global systems
  • Identify and remediate systemic reliability risks using automation and code
  • Own projects from proposal to post-mortem with high levels of independence
  • Collaborate with software engineers to triage production issues and deliver fixes
  • Enhance system resilience using tools like Docker, Docker Compose, and Linux-based automation
  • Implement infrastructure-as-code and monitoring solutions for proactive performance tracking

Required Skills and Experience

  • 7+ years in Site Reliability, DevOps, or Platform Engineering
  • Strong experience with Linux systems administration and cloud platforms
  • Programming proficiency in Go, Perl, or Python
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems, high-traffic architectures, and scalability
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring tools, configuration management, and performance tuning
  • Proven ability to lead and deliver cross-functional engineering projects
  • Experience deploying and managing applications using containerization technologies
