The Platform Engineer Intern role within EagleView’s Cloud Platform Engineering team focuses on continuous delivery, developer enablement, and cloud cost optimization.

This position contributes to automation initiatives across AWS, FinOps, DevOps, and product platforms, collaborating closely with software engineers, machine learning teams, and finance stakeholders. Work is executed within a SAFe Agile framework, emphasizing measurable outcomes and scalable solutions.

• Collaborate with Platform Engineering teams to design and implement automation solutions using Python or similar programming languages
• Contribute to DevOps and cloud infrastructure projects involving AWS, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Terraform
• Support continuous delivery pipelines and platform reliability initiatives

AI/ML and Cloud Enablement

• Participate in AI/ML and GenAI integration projects to enhance infrastructure efficiency and operational capabilities
• Apply scientific and data-driven methodologies to identify and implement programmatic solutions

Observability and Reliability

• Assist with monitoring and observability to ensure application and service reliability
• Help build and maintain dashboards and visualization tools for platform metrics

Troubleshooting and Reporting

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently
• Provide regular updates on project progress, challenges, and outcomes to senior team members

Optional Frontend Contributions

• Contribute to UI development tasks using JavaScript, React, or similar frameworks when required

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (completed) in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong programming skills in Python (preferred) or other relevant languages, with demonstrable project experience
• Practical understanding of AI/ML concepts and frameworks as applied to software development or DevOps projects

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Hands-on experience with Python, Golang, or similar programming languages
• Basic knowledge of AI/ML technologies in software and infrastructure contexts
• Familiarity with JavaScript, React, or frontend development
• Prior academic or project experience with AWS, Jenkins, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving
• Ability to take ownership, work independently, and deliver results efficiently
• Demonstrated collaboration skills in cross-functional team environments
