Eaton hiring Associate Engineer - Cloud in Pune - 0-2 years experience - IoT platform development with C#, Python, and cloud technologies.

Eaton Corporation's Brightlayer Cloud team is looking for an Associate Engineer - Cloud to contribute to the design and development of an Internet of Things (IoT) platform. This platform is being built from the ground up and will serve as a framework for Eaton product teams to build and extend customer-facing applications and solutions.

This role offers the excitement of a startup initiative within an established global company. You will work with the latest software technologies and trends including IoT, NoSQL, big data, open source, DevOps, microservices, mobile, and cybersecurity.

Key responsibilities include:

• Contributing to the architecture, design, and implementation of an IoT platform, with development primarily in C# and Python
• Authoring high-quality, unit-tested code following software engineering best practices
• Documenting solutions using flowcharts, diagrams, code comments, code snippets, and performance instruments
• Providing work estimates and participating in design, implementation, and code reviews
• Executing agile work plans for iterative and incremental project delivery
• Expanding job knowledge by studying new software development techniques and programming languages
• Collaborating with test teams to ensure adequate test coverage, investigating and fixing bugs, and creating automated test scripts

• BE/B.Tech degree in a related field
• 0-2 years of progressive experience in the software industry designing, developing, and deploying high-quality technology solutions
• 0-2 years of hands-on experience with C# and .NET technologies
• Proficiency with C# and .NET and associated IDEs (Visual Studio, Eclipse, IntelliJ, etc.)
• Understanding of databases and data concepts - both relational (SQL Server) and non-relational (Cosmos DB, MongoDB)
• Knowledge of software design principles, algorithms, data structures, and multithreading concepts
• Understanding of object-oriented design and programming, including design patterns
• Familiarity with cloud development platforms such as Azure or AWS
• Understanding of security concepts including encryption, certificates, and key management
• Knowledge of networking protocols and concepts (HTTP, TCP, WebSocket)
• Understanding of software engineering best practices and Agile development methodologies
• Strong problem-solving and software debugging skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks, issues, and work effectively
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and concepts
