Requirements

eBay’s Cloud team operates one of the industry’s largest private cloud platforms built on open-source technologies, managing hundreds of Kubernetes clusters and millions of compute instances.

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Support Engineer to help developers adopt cloud-native applications, improve platform reliability, and drive automation at scale.


Key Responsibilities

  • Enable cloud-native adoption by providing expert guidance, support, and best practices
  • Triage and resolve complex issues in large-scale distributed systems
  • Collaborate with cloud engineers to improve platform reliability and efficiency
  • Translate developer feedback into actionable platform enhancements
  • Build automation and cloud administration tools using GenAI
  • Champion DevOps culture with a strong focus on CI/CD automation and security

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience supporting large-scale cloud or distributed systems
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, operating systems, schedulers, and cloud platforms
  • Proficiency in Go, Python, or similar languages for automation
  • Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
