Job Description

Requirements

  • Ensure compliance with national and local environmental regulations, contractual obligations, and Amazon policies.
  • Support business expansion by conducting environmental due diligence and permitting reviews.
  • Collaborate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to promote an environmentally responsible culture.
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with Amazon’s Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
  • Monitor and evaluate contractor, consultant, and employee work for adherence to Amazon standards.
  • Develop, analyze, and forecast environmental metrics, identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Conduct environmental audits to drive continuous improvement.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to manage environmental risks.
  • Submit time-sensitive environmental reports to regulatory authorities.
  • Conduct environmental investigations, prepare regulatory reports, and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.

Basic Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, geology, geography, biology, chemistry, or a related field.
  2. Experience in environmental compliance, auditing, permitting, and waste management.
  3. Knowledge of environmental management systems and national, regional, and local environmental regulations.
  4. Fluency in English (written and spoken) and strong proficiency in Telugu (Hindi is a plus).

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including interaction with senior leadership.
  2. Ability to manage multiple priorities, provide clear updates, and escalate issues in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Analytical skills with a track record of implementing practical environmental improvements.
  4. Project management experience and proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and Windows OS.
