About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically strong Production Support DevOps Engineer with 3-6 years of experience to join our operations and infrastructure team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of our production systems and integrations.

You will work closely with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams to monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, manage deployments, and maintain operational excellence in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Production Monitoring & Support

  • Monitor production environments and proactively identify outages or performance bottlenecks
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents with minimal downtime
  • Investigate application logs, APIs, and infrastructure metrics to identify root causes
  • Support high availability and reliability initiatives across production systems

Incident Management

  • Participate in 24/7 rotational shift support including weekends and public holidays
  • Respond to critical production incidents and coordinate timely resolutions
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive actions
  • Ensure SLA compliance through effective ticket and escalation management

DevOps & Infrastructure Operations

  • Support CI/CD pipelines, release management, and deployment processes
  • Work with Kubernetes environments for container orchestration and troubleshooting
  • Manage deployments and support cloud infrastructure hosted on AWS
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on operational improvements and automation initiatives

API & Database Support

  • Test and validate APIs using tools like Postman and Swagger
  • Support ETL workflows and troubleshoot database-related issues
  • Work with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and related database systems

Documentation & Collaboration

  • Maintain detailed technical documentation for incidents, procedures, and resolutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational workflows
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing and process improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience in Production Support, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting
  • Practical experience working with Kubernetes for container orchestration and troubleshooting
  • Good understanding of Jenkins, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and release management processes
  • Experience with production deployments and infrastructure support
  • Knowledge of ETL processes and database systems such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB
  • Familiarity with AWS services including EC2, S3, CloudWatch, EKS, and VPC
  • Understanding of monitoring, logging, and incident management practices
  • Experience using ticketing and support tools such as Zendesk or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman and Swagger
  • Understanding of ITIL processes, Incident Management, and Problem Management frameworks
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to work in 24/7 rotational shifts including weekends and holidays
  • AWS Certification is a plus
  • Experience with automation and scripting for operational tasks is preferred
