Job Description

As an Azure Cloud Engineer at FissionLabs, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure solutions using Microsoft Azure. This position offers hands-on experience with core Azure services, enabling you to build scalable and secure cloud environments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing system resources and monitoring using commands like top, df, chmod, lsblk
  • Provisioning Virtual Networks (VNets), Virtual Machines (VMs), Azure Blob Storage, and Azure SQL Database via Azure Portal and CLI
  • Configuring Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Network Security Groups (NSGs)
  • Designing Azure VNets with subnets, route tables, internet gateways, NAT gateways, and NSGs
  • Launching and monitoring Azure Virtual Machines using SSH, Azure Bastion, or Serial Console
  • Creating and managing Azure Blob Storage containers with versioning, lifecycle management, encryption, and access tiers
  • Handling snapshot creation and Managed disk backups
  • Managing Azure Active Directory users, groups, and role assignments
  • Implementing RBAC, Azure Policy, Azure Security Center, and monitoring with Azure Activity Logs
  • Using Azure Repos or GitHub for source control and setting up CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
  • Developing Infrastructure as Code using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform
  • Setting up Azure Monitor alerts, Log Analytics workspaces, and querying logs with Kusto Query Language (KQL)
  • Creating Azure Functions for event-driven architectures
  • Building and running Docker containers, understanding Dockerfile structure, and publishing to Azure Container Registry
  • Managing costs with Azure Budgets and analyzing spend
  • Documenting configurations and maintaining communication with stakeholders

Requirements

  • B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech/M.S/MCA graduate (preferably from a reputed college or university)

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proficiency in Linux system resource monitoring using commands like top, df, chmod, lsblk
  • Azure Core Services expertise including Azure Portal, Azure CLI, VNets, VMs, Blob Storage, RBAC, Azure SQL Database
  • Networking fundamentals for Azure VNets, subnets, route tables, gateways, NSGs
  • Compute resource management for VMs, including sizes, OS images, availability sets, monitoring
  • Storage operations with Blob Storage containers, versioning, lifecycle rules, encryption, snapshots
  • IAM and security with Azure AD, RBAC, Azure Policy, Security Center, Activity Logs
  • CI/CD and source control using Azure Repos, GitHub, Azure DevOps Pipelines, Git fundamentals
  • Infrastructure as Code with ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform
  • Monitoring and logging with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, KQL
  • Serverless and event automation with Azure Functions, bindings, Managed Identities
  • Containers and orchestration with Docker, Dockerfile, Azure Container Registry, AKS basics
  • Cost management, compliance, and documentation
