HERE is hiring Sr. DevOps Engineer – Mumbai, India

HERE Technologies is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join the Environment Management & Tooling team. This role focuses on building highly available, secure, and self-healing infrastructure across hybrid environments. You'll collaborate with product and platform teams to drive automation, scalability, and reliability using modern DevOps and cloud-native practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with R&D, Architects, and Product Managers to design resilient infrastructure.
• Act as liaison between development and platform teams to translate needs into technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain automation workflows using scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Improve system reliability through monitoring, CI/CD, and observability tooling.
• Advocate for best practices in security, testing (TDD), and documentation.
• Support capacity planning, incident resolution, and cross-data center resilience.

Requirements

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customer-focused mindset.
• Experience in microservice architecture and cloud-native systems.
• Deep knowledge of container technologies like Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Hands-on with templating tools like Helm or Kustomize.
• Proficient in scripting (Bash, Go, Python).
• Experience with IaC tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef, or similar.
• Familiar with CI/CD tooling such as Git, Jira, GitLab, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
• Expertise in monitoring and logging using Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, etc.
• Strong background in Linux systems administration and GitOps workflows.
• Experience with secrets management tools (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, Azure Key Vault).

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of event-driven architecture.
• Understanding of cloud security best practices.
• Familiarity with both public and private cloud environments.
