Redwood Software is hiring a Junior Infrastructure Engineer to support cloud infrastructure, system monitoring, observability, automation, and platform reliability.

This role is ideal for aspiring Cloud Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Site Reliability Engineers (SRE), and Infrastructure Engineers looking to build expertise in enterprise-scale cloud environments.

As part of the Infrastructure and Observability team, you'll work alongside senior engineers to monitor systems, troubleshoot production issues, automate operational tasks, and maintain highly available cloud infrastructure.

You will gain hands-on experience with monitoring tools, metrics collection, logging, alerting systems, dashboards, cloud platforms, Linux administration, networking fundamentals, and infrastructure automation.

Monitor cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
Support system performance monitoring and optimization.
Assist in incident response and troubleshooting production issues.
Configure and maintain monitoring dashboards.
Build and improve alerts for infrastructure health.
Analyze metrics, logs, and traces.
Support observability platforms.
Create automation scripts using Bash or Python.
Work with development and operations teams.
Assist in capacity planning.
Maintain infrastructure documentation.
Help improve platform reliability and uptime.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
Equivalent bootcamp or self-taught experience is also considered
0–2 years of Infrastructure, Cloud, or System Administration experience
Understanding of monitoring and observability concepts
Basic knowledge of Linux administration
Basic networking fundamentals
Familiarity with cloud services
Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes
Good problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills
Passion for learning modern infrastructure technologies
