Job Description
Infor is seeking an experienced DevOps System Engineer (PowerShell, AWS) to support and automate cloud-based applications and microservices. The role involves hands-on collaboration with operations and development teams to enhance performance, scalability, observability, documentation, and delivery efficiency across AWS environments
Requirements
- Collaborate closely with operations (OPS) personnel on cloud and system operations.
- Review automation and code for cloud-native applications and microservices.
- Work with developers and cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality software delivery.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and contribute to code reviews.
- Maintain and update documentation for both new and existing systems and operational procedures.
- Enhance current systems based on user and stakeholder feedback.
- Optimize performance and scalability to support evolving business goals.
- Take ownership of additional projects and responsibilities as required.
- Provide analytical and troubleshooting support across systems and services.
- Participate in operational on-call responsibilities.
- Availability to work US-based time-zone hours.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience automating cloud deployments using AWS CloudFormation, CodeDeploy, or similar tools.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as SSM, EC2, EBS, Auto-Scaling, SQS, SNS, Lambda / Step Functions.
- Proficiency in PowerShell, with additional experience in Python, Java, or Bash.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and development best practices.
- Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, rapidly evolving technology environments.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- High proficiency with Git and source control practices.
- Flexibility to support urgent customer issues across multiple time zones.
Preferred Qualifications
- CI/CD pipeline development and troubleshooting using GitLab or Jenkins.
- Familiarity with DynamoDB or other NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of streaming architectures using tools such as Apache Kafka.
- Experience with Elasticsearch, Hadoop, or other analytics tools.
- One or more AWS Associate certifications (Developer, Solutions Architect, SysOps).
- Experience with containerization and microservices architecture.
- Exposure to CloudWatch, QuickSight, and other monitoring tools.
- Experience writing complex PowerShell automation scripts.
