Junior Site Reliability Engineer – IT & Software Development at RWS (Bangalore, India)

RWS is seeking a Junior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with a strong interest in software development, systems engineering, and operations. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about bridging development and operations to ensure reliable, scalable, and efficient software delivery.

The position plays a key role in supporting infrastructure, improving deployment automation, and maintaining high system availability across enterprise platforms

• Establishing unified technology standards and governance
• Developing and maintaining core enterprise applications
• Driving future technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives
• Managing information security operations and protecting digital assets

Key Responsibilities of the Junior Site Reliability Engineer

CI/CD and Automation

• Design, develop, and support CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery
• Automate build, deployment, and infrastructure workflows using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Infrastructure Monitoring and Reliability

• Monitor infrastructure performance and system health
• Troubleshoot incidents and ensure high availability and stability
• Proactively identify and resolve reliability issues

DevOps Collaboration

• Work closely with development teams to embed DevOps best practices into the SDLC
• Manage code deployments, fixes, updates, and rollbacks
• Support version control and deployment lifecycle processes

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing

• Create and maintain detailed documentation for systems, processes, and configurations
• Support onboarding and long-term maintainability through clear documentation

Continuous Learning

• Stay current with emerging DevOps, cloud, and SRE technologies
• Contribute ideas to improve automation, reliability, and delivery efficiency

Skills and Experience Required

• Experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines (Azure Pipelines, Jenkins, or similar)
• Strong scripting skills using PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible
• Understanding of network protocols and security best practices
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
• Experience building or managing a home lab environment is an advantage
