Light & Wonder hiring a DevOps Engineer to join the Infinity DevOps Team, which powers the largest digital gaming network in the industry. This role focuses on designing, building, and operating secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using automation and cloud-native best practices.

The DevOps Engineer will play a key role in enabling continuous delivery, improving platform observability, and supporting high-availability systems in a fast-paced iGaming environment.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure and Automation

Own the design, creation, configuration, and delivery of cloud infrastructure and environments using automation and security best practices.
Build and manage cloud-native infrastructure primarily on AWS.
Promote the adoption of cloud-native tools, patterns, and methodologies.

CI/CD and DevOps Enablement

Help implement and evolve CI/CD strategies across the full product development lifecycle.
Enable continuous improvement in cross-functional collaboration, DevOps standards, and best practices.
Work closely with Development, QA, Product, Support, and Technical Operations teams.

Observability and Platform Reliability

Create and maintain tools to enhance observability of cloud-based environments.
Ensure platform stability, reliability, and uptime targets are consistently met.
Support monitoring, logging, and alerting across production environments.

Documentation and Collaboration

Create and maintain clear, accurate technical documentation for internal teams.
Actively contribute as part of a high-performance DevOps enablement team in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills and Experience

Professional Experience

3–5 years of hands-on DevOps experience across cloud-based environments.

Programming and Operating Systems

Experience with programming and scripting languages such as Java, Python, Bash, or Go.
Strong knowledge of Linux system administration.

Cloud and Infrastructure

Extensive experience working with AWS.
Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform (AWS-focused).
Experience with configuration management tools, ideally Ansible.

CI/CD and Version Control

Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
Good understanding of version control platforms like GitHub and Bitbucket.
Nice to have: GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.

Containers and Orchestration

Working knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS.

Monitoring and Observability

Experience with monitoring and analysis tools such as Elasticsearch, Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, Splunk, Datadog, or Zabbix.

Data and Streaming (Nice to Have)

Knowledge of Kafka, MSK, Kafka Connect, or similar messaging and streaming technologies.

Ways of Working

Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments.
Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and prioritize effectively in a dynamic business environment.

Additional Nice to Have

Experience with infrastructure networking and cloud-based DNS services such as Cloudflare.
