Requirements
eBay is hiring a Linux Systems Administrator in Bengaluru to manage and optimize Linux-based infrastructure supporting production systems and enterprise operations.
This role is ideal for professionals experienced in Linux administration, cloud infrastructure, automation, networking, monitoring, and DevOps operations.
Linux Infrastructure Management
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, Ubuntu)
- Manage production infrastructure and ensure system reliability
- Handle patching, upgrades, and security hardening
Monitoring & Troubleshooting
- Monitor performance, availability, and system security
- Troubleshoot server, network, and application issues
- Support backup and disaster recovery operations
Automation & Scripting
- Automate operational tasks using Bash or Python scripting
- Work with Ansible and configuration management tools
- Improve infrastructure efficiency and operational workflows
Security & Access Management
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
- Implement Linux security best practices
- Maintain operational documentation and procedures
Collaboration
- Work with DevOps, Security, and Network teams
- Support infrastructure and cloud operations initiatives
- Linux / Unix administration expertise
- Shell scripting and automation
- Monitoring and system management tools
- Networking fundamentals: DNS, TCP/IP, Firewalls
- Cloud platform familiarity: Azure or GCP
- Configuration management using Ansible
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
