MetLife Hiring Jr. DevOps Engineer in Hyderabad, Telangana - Hybrid Work, Cloud Infrastructure, Data Platform Development

MetLife is offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to our digital and AI transformation journey. We are seeking an experienced Jr. DevOps Engineer to drive the transformation that will enable business results.

As a Jr. DevOps Engineer at MetLife, you will be responsible for the design and development of data solutions, including building data platform components, modernizing storage, transformation, and access of data using data platforms and consumption of data using APIs.

• Build modern data platform and data lake components on cloud infrastructure
• Analyze and design data pipelines that bring various internal and external data into the data lake in the cloud based on business use cases
• Design and develop data marts that make large volumes of data from the data lake accessible to business analysts and data scientists
• Deliver solutions in an agile delivery model
• Implement transformation and data quality rules using modern transformation tools and languages to conform to enterprise guidelines
• Demonstrate deep understanding of various stages of data models in the data platform, including medallion architecture
• Adopt Agile ways of working in the software delivery lifecycle and continuously learn new methods and technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of data solutions

• Version Control & Collaboration: GitHub
• CI/CD: Azure DevOps, Jenkins
• Code Quality & Analysis: SonarQube
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible
• Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
• Cloud Providers: Azure, AWS

Experience & Qualifications

• Experience in building and maintaining data platform or data lake components on cloud
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation tools
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and Ansible
• Familiarity with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
• Understanding of data pipeline design and development
• Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
