Montechnolabs Hiring Jr. DevOps Engineer - CI/CD, Terraform, Kubernetes & Cloud Infrastructure

Job Description
Montechnolabs is seeking a Jr. DevOps Engineer with 2-3 years of experience to join our infrastructure and operations team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in CI/CD automation, cloud infrastructure management, and container orchestration while working on real-world projects that impact production systems.
As a Jr. DevOps Engineer, you will assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and related tools to automate build and deployment processes. You will develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP under guidance from senior engineers. This position is ideal for someone looking to grow their DevOps career with hands-on experience in modern automation practices.
You will build, configure, and maintain containerized applications using Docker and support deployments on Kubernetes clusters. The role involves implementing configuration management and automation using Ansible, monitoring and troubleshooting Linux-based servers and applications for performance and reliability, and configuring web servers including Apache2 and Nginx for optimal performance, security, and availability.
Requirements
- Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and related tools to automate build and deployment processes
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) under guidance
- Build, configure, and maintain containerized applications using Docker, and support deployments on Kubernetes clusters
- Implement basic to intermediate configuration management and automation using Ansible
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Linux-based servers and applications for performance and reliability
- Configure and maintain web servers (Apache2, Nginx) for performance, security, and availability
- Follow best practices for system security, backups, logging, and scalability in cloud and on-prem environments
- Collaborate with development teams to support DevOps best practices across the SDLC
- Create and maintain technical documentation for deployments, configurations, and operational procedures
- Continuously learn and adapt to new DevOps tools, cloud services, and automation practices
Requirements
Programming & Scripting:
- Bash / Shell scripting (mandatory)
- Python (basic to intermediate - preferred)
- Groovy (basic understanding for Jenkins pipelines)
Tools & Technologies:
- Jenkins (pipeline creation, job management)
- Terraform (basic modules, state management)
- Ansible (playbooks, roles - basic to intermediate)
- Git (branching, pull requests, CI workflows)
Operating Systems:
- Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian) - strong working knowledge
- macOS / Windows - basic familiarity
Cloud Platforms:
- AWS - EC2, S3, IAM, RDS (working experience)
- Azure - VMs, AKS (basic exposure preferred)
- GCP - GKE or Cloud Functions (nice to have)
Containers & Web Servers:
- Docker - image creation, optimization, registries
- Kubernetes - deployments, services, basic troubleshooting
- Apache2 / Nginx - configuration and tuning basics
