Job Description

Naveera is focused on building modern, secure, and scalable infrastructure solutions that empower engineering teams to move faster without compromising reliability or security. Our platform combines cloud-native technologies, operational excellence, and security-first engineering practices to support scalable product and infrastructure growth.

We are building secure-by-default systems that help organizations maintain strong operational resilience while enabling rapid product innovation.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to join our Security and Platform Engineering team. In this role, you will work at the intersection of security, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and platform engineering to strengthen security across our cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes infrastructure, and engineering operations.

You will help design and implement scalable security practices that integrate seamlessly into development workflows while improving infrastructure security, compliance, and operational resilience.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud & Infrastructure Security

  • Own and improve security across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes environments, CI/CD systems, and engineering platforms
  • Design secure-by-default deployment and infrastructure patterns
  • Harden cloud environments, workloads, IAM configurations, network boundaries, and secrets management systems
  • Improve access control strategies and secure service-to-service communication practices

CI/CD & Application Security

  • Integrate security tooling into CI/CD pipelines including SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, container scanning, and secret scanning
  • Implement policy enforcement and automated security validation workflows
  • Build and maintain security guardrails for Terraform, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure deployments
  • Support secure release processes and operational security best practices

Security Monitoring & Incident Response

  • Monitor and investigate security findings across infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments
  • Respond to security incidents and assist with forensic investigations and post-incident hardening
  • Improve logging, observability, auditing, and alerting from a security operations perspective
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to remediate vulnerabilities and reduce risk exposure

Collaboration & Engineering Enablement

  • Work closely with backend, frontend, DevOps, and product engineering teams
  • Develop security standards, operational playbooks, and technical documentation
  • Help balance security, scalability, reliability, and developer productivity
  • Contribute to long-term infrastructure security and compliance initiatives

Why Join Naveera?

  • Work on modern cloud-native infrastructure and security systems
  • Opportunity to shape security engineering practices at scale
  • Remote-first engineering culture
  • Exposure to Kubernetes, Terraform, cloud security, and DevSecOps tooling
  • Collaborative environment focused on innovation and operational excellence
  • Career growth opportunities in security engineering and platform operations

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in DevSecOps, Security Engineering, Cloud Security, or Infrastructure Security roles
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and modern security engineering principles
  • Hands-on experience securing CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native deployment workflows
  • Experience with Kubernetes security and containerized production environments
  • Strong knowledge of IAM, secrets management, access control, and secure infrastructure design
  • Practical experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code security practices
  • Familiarity with vulnerability management across code, dependencies, containers, and cloud infrastructure
  • Experience with security tools such as Snyk, Trivy, Semgrep, Checkov, GitHub Advanced Security, or similar platforms
  • Strong scripting or programming experience using Python, Go, Bash, or similar languages
  • Understanding of networking concepts, TLS, certificates, authentication, and secure communications
  • Ability to investigate security findings and collaborate with engineering teams on remediation efforts
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, ELK, Loki, or Datadog
  • Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with policy-as-code, runtime security, or compliance automation is a plus
  • Experience with SOC 2, HIPAA, or compliance-focused environments is an advantage
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is preferred
